Exmouth Engineering was originally formed to manufacture Industrial, Commercial and Domestic security products solely for its associated company Garages & Gates.

However the building the company moved into in Exmouth had been for many years the largest established ironworks in the area producing goods for Garages & Gates as well as many others before suddenly closing down.

With the loss of such a facility in Exmouth it was not long before the vacuum it left and the amount of enquiries from the Builders and Engineers needed to be addressed.

At this point the Chairman and Directors decided on a change of direction from being a supplier to one company becoming a separate company within its own right servicing the local community.

The company has now grown beyond all recognition with two new factories in Honiton larger than the original ironworks and still growing strong.
